How do people get measured for a snowboard?

Typically, you get a snowboard based mostly on your height and weight.  Also, freestyle snowboards tend to be shorter as opposed to longer freeride boards.  Basically, the taller/heavier you are, the longer of a board you want.  If your board is too big for you, you'll have issues applying pressure to your edges and turning.
