How do people get onto Saturday Night Live?

Not to watch it, but I mean actually BE on the show. Like Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, etc. I think I could do it, I just want to know HOW.

Well,you don't need to be too funny,but it would probably be a good idea if you would like to sleep with people of the same s*x ,like lorne michaels or whoever that weirdo is that runs it.

SNL does not hold open auditions or accept audition tapes.  They send out scouts.  So, unfortunately, you have to wait for them to find you.  Most of their performers are pulled from the comedy groups Second City (Chicago) and The Groundlings (L.A.)  If they see someone they find interesting, they will invite them to audition for the show.
