How do people get selected to serve on a Grand Jury?

Are people selected randomly like for a regular jury and then asked questions to determine who will be selected? Or can people volunteer to be part of the Grand Jury pool?

Yes.  It's the same jury pool.  Since Grand Juries can last longer than regular juries, they are requested to be available for a longer period.  If someone has a problem with that, they are excused.

It's the same process as the regular jury.  By the tone of your post, however, it sounds like you want to be on a grand jury.  Is there someone you WANT to "send up the river"?  You have it out for a local criminal?  Not really impartial, are you?
