How do people get to model for book covers?

This is something I'd LOVE to do sooo much, but I have no idea hoe they get into it and chosen. Also, I've noticed that having an eye/eyes on book covers has been a trend, and my eyes are a really unique blue/cerulean color. Can someone answer this question please with information and possibly links? Thanks

Here is a great website that has some info, you may to contact alot of different agencies but if your eyes are unique you might have a good chance of getting a job, You will need some good pictures or else you will have to go to each agency, good luck!!
