How do people have the energy to run marathons?

im serious.

I was watching the olympics last night and that 36 year old lady ran a 26 mile marathon. She was amazing and she one 1rst. Her stomach was nasty but people please help. how do they do this?

  1. They work at it, hard. Diet, exercise, run, run, run.  Start small and work yourself up.  Don't try to run a marathon tomorrow, but work and hard and perhaps it will happen some day.

      


  2. They have a lot of endurance and stamina, which they built up from most-likely running at least 30 miles per week.

  3. they eat A LOTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

  4. well it all years and i mean years of training......some runs up to 2 hours or more just for a simiple long run to build endurance. and they have workouts like tempo to hold there amazing paces. also they work their core muscle meaning abs like crzy! a strong core helps alot! also diets. they eat like they run that all i can say lol their to much diet to explain. O they also carry energy gel to help them keep going
