When people buy a high definition camcorder you know they want one because they want to film the family scenics and all that to keep for memories..

HD camcorders do not have cd or tape in the camcorder.

So it has a hard drive in built in so lets say 60gb hard drive on a hd camcorder. the latest camcorder in its technology.

How do people later keep what they have recorded ?

1/do they keep it into a blank 8.5GB DL dvd disc ?

2/do they keep all the stuff in a PC hard drive ? (remember its not good to keep things for the next 5 years of full HD recording in a PC hard drive.

because you cant take your PC around to friends home to show them what you have recorded. you cant travel qwith your PC all the time with you but you can if you save it on a blank dvd disc.

So you know puting it later on a blank dvd disc will get rid of the full High definition other wise. So whats the point in buying a latest HD camcorder otherwise ?

Hard drive is not to keep things forever.

one of the puposes of video editing apps is to enhance the movie coming from raw shoots, cut boring scenes & unrelated ones, really tell-a-story (the purpose of the storyboard) and shorten the lenght, w/o omitting the essentials, in order to sync w/ viewer's limited span of attention ... w/c is then shared- burned to a disc thru bundled disc authoring. Raw shoots shud not be saved for the life of it, rather edited into a tell-a-story movie. Usually, only max 15% of raw shoots goes into a finished movie.
