How do people get paid when they don't have jobs? I'm not talking about retired or handicapped people. I have a friend who's father is leaving to move to Montana and leaving his wife with all the bills, how is she going to pay them all on her own, specially when she is already behind? My friend is really worried, please help. Sorry, if my spelling is off.

  1. Have her tell the father to help with the bills. If he is on some of the bills, just let him know, that if the bills are not paid, it will affect his credit rating as well. Also, she could get a job (the mother).

To We Can Help Y: I just read your post, and I really appreciate someone posting a site to help someone, that doesn't have their own referral link in it. 99% of people posting links are just trying to get referrals, and I appreciate the fact that you are just giving the questioner a site without a referral link. I didn't check out the site, but once again I appreciate it. Thumbs up to you.

  2. She's going to have to get a job, that's all there is to it. Even a minimum wage job will enable her to pay some or most of her bills -- and hopefully she's better qualified than just minimum wage and may be able to find a better job.

If her income isn't enough to meet all her expenses, she'll have to reduce some of the expenses -- maybe move into a less expensive place, or even to a different town.

And if any of the children are under 18, she *will* get child support from him. That's not something he can just walk away from. He's legally required to support his children, and the law will come after him for the money no matter where he's living,

The family will survive. They just have to be tough for a little while, that's all.

  3. You don't make money if you're not providing a service to someone somehow. It sounds like your friend's mom may be headed for some trouble unless she gets a job. And the way the economy and unemployment rates are going, I wouldn't be too worried. Everyone is heading for economic crisis anyway. She should just make sure her utilities and mortgage are paid and there's food on the table. Any decent job will be able to provide that.

  4. they might have a savings account, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, ss, govt treasuries,
