How do people make their cars loud and stuff?

I was just wondering what people do to their cars to make them louder. and also can you do it with automatic transmission? Im not old enough to drive im just wondering. What parts do u need to make ur car louder? thank you

yes you can do it w/ an auto trani, just put nice headers and a catback exhaust system and your car will be loud.

Very simple question.....all it is is an aftermarket cat-back muffler with some kind of sound amplification, and it can be done from a focus to a ferrari (i would not reccomend it on the latter)....plus, putting some amps and subs in helps, too
