How do people record tv shows and put them on youtube?

So, the only way I've learned to record a tv show is through VHS and watch it on VCR, but how do people record tv and then upload it to youtube.

Is it possible to get a vhs tape and then upload it to youtube. I need some technical advice.

On how to get a tv show recorded them uploaded in youtube.

And it it is possible to get a vhs on youtube.??

People have tv tuners for this job, with this people can watch tv on their pc and record the shows. As for DVD/VHS components , they can be attached to some tv tuners or capture cards so that  it can be viewed on your pc and be recorded as well.
