How do people sell things with ''free shipping''?

(On ebay) I notice some people offer free shipping on all of their stuff & on the package it will say ''postage paid'' how are they able to do this?

Some work the cost of their shipping into their asking price. Others just want to sell the stuff as quickly as possible so they take a "bite" out of their profit by paying for the shipping.
