  1. Look at Helen Keller...it's a challenge but possible.

  2. if you are deaf it is not necessary to read braile

  3. Im deaf and i dont read braille. The only time you have to learn to read braille is when you are blind. To answer your question for how BLIND people read braille, research Helen Keller or her teacher, Anne Sullivan to find out how she learned to read braille.

  4. People who are born deaf, or blind don't look at it as something that is not fair, but rather an obstacle to be overcome.

They can attend schools for the deaf, and blind, and have services available to them to find, train and excel at many jobs.

Many states have vocational services for low vision, blind and deaf people.

Reading Braille is taught by feeling, and computers; many blind people can hear, and therefore follow directions just as well as you and me.

Those who are deaf only have no need to read Braille unless they want to learn it, they can read, and learn sign language.

For those who are deaf, and blind the challenge is bigger, and the learning process may be a bit slower, but they learn with a combination of the two.

There are many caring, and trained people to help them and their families to allow those with handicaps to be as self sufficient as possible.

  5. Teaching someone who is deaf to read is rather simple - just like teaching a hearing person to read. They have their own language - sign language - that has every adverb, adjective, noun, and verb that the regular spoken language has. A person that is blind has their ears they can use to learn to read braile. Most of the blind individuals use touch and hearing to get around in the world.

Someone who is blind AND deaf would have a harder time learning how to read braile, i think. But then again, they have their own language too. They use tactile communication - which is placing their hands on your wrists to sign/tell what you want them to know. When the individual needs to tell you something, they sign ... you can see them sign and if you are familiar with them, you understand them.

I personally think a child who was born addicted to alcohol/drugs is more horrible than someone who have a auditory/visual disability.
