How do plants make food?

Please don't give me some answer like "it has chlorophyll"

I want the complete explanation, including how the energy is converted. Thx!

  1. Through photosynthesis, using both the "Light" and "Dark" reactions. In the Light phase, electron is trapped by plants; in the dark phase, they're used through various biochemical cycles to synthesize sugar.

    The quick answer is that plants make their food by processing carbon dioxide and water with light in its chloroplasts (specifically the thylakoid membranes) to produce glucose.
