How do play chess?

i personally think they are quite useful, and i used these two websites to learn chess. i am now a national team player, and my rating is 1400+. for more info, u can purchase books written by nimzowitsch or karpov. they teach u openings, and many of their games are meticulously analysed. =)

Check out the book of Hoyle.  It is the guide book for all games.  You might try googling Hoyle and see what you come up with.
