Take world cup 1998, Pires did not play a single minute, do you believe he feels he deserved the medal. Better yet, Reina of Spain when they won they won the Euro 2008.

  1. To be honest i would think you would be pretty shattered if you didnt get to play in the final. However you are in a team sport and are part of a team and you contirbute along the way of the competition so you still have to be proud of your achievements despite not being a player on the field in the final you are still a huge part of the team.

  2. I think they feel happy and that they do deserve it because they were there in case someone got injured or something, They'd feel positive because soccer is a team sport and they know they contributed just by being there and having His/her team's back just in case.

  3. Yes they deserve a medal, they are part of a TEAM... clearly you are either not an athlete, or if you have been on a team you are one of those people who thinks that the guy who scores the most points/goals whatever is more important than the other members of the team.

  4. feel bad but they deserve it because they played the semifinals and did good so yeah they deserve it
