I'm talking about phone interviews mostly and more importantly who is the person who sometimes comes on the line and says like "you have one minute left" or "wrap it up".

Do they pay to get interviews?

  1. The celebs rarely get paid for the interviews.  They gain by the publicity.  Here in Las Vegas at the 6 Staions where I work we get many of them plugging their shows in town, and their new releases.  About once a month we get a group with a mini concert for about 30 mnutes in our Lobby.  They cost us nothing as the group gets tremendous publicity due to the high ratings our stations have.  Some stations without the large audience, might not get as good service.

  2. the radio Djs get interview with musicians / celebrity  which the importantly is the person to talk about the life ,job, song , dress, gossip, show and album. if i have one minute left or wrap it up with the  happy and life. this depand the celebrity /musicians get pay to get  the interviews

  3. Usually it is set up with the bands manager and or PR's, for publicity and no they do not normally pay..

  4. When a musician or celebrity has something to promote (a new movie or CD), they have publicists who arrange media interviews so they can get the word out about their new product.

    They don't get paid.
