A tree fell in my back yard and crushed my patio set. I was thinking of taking it to a recycler. Some of the ads say they take any metal. So how much do they per pound? Or do they figure payment another way?

  1. 5 a pound

  2. It depends on the metal and where. it has to do with the stock market. what ever metal is in demand goes up in price. for instance copper, lead and aluminum are skyhigh because of the war. but steel and tin are nearly worthless. it can actually vary daily.

There's actually been a huge increase in copper related thefts because of the price. just a few hundred pounds can get you over a thousand bucks

last prices I saw were a couple of weeks ago.

    copper - $2.85 lb

    aluminum - .50 lb

    lead - .80 lb

    steel - 6 to 10 cents a lb.

  3. BY WEIGHT AND STEEL IS'NT IN DEMAND.
