  1. when I worked in retail we followed the WINS approach:

    W- Welcome the costomer

    I-Initiate a conversation with an open ended question "what can I help you find?"

    N- Needs, what does the customer need. evaluate what the best option is for them.

    S- Sale and reassure. make the final sale but let them leave feeling satisfied.
