How do salesmen ask for the sale?

Ask the customer a question which offers only two options both of which are an acceptance of your product and shut up. The next person who speaks loses.

It depends on what you're selling.  Easy ways are things like does that sound good to you?  How soon were you needing it? (if you have schedules like when I use to set up cable installation and they say Thursday and you're already scheduling for Thursday then be honest and tell them that and say something like to ensure we have it when you need it I would encourage you to schedule it today)  You can be more direct and say what will be your method of payment today?  Would you like me to set that up for you?  I now sell trailers and I just say are you ready to take it home today?
