  1. Relate to what they are saying and get them to make a promise to you.  For instance, if someone says they can't afford to buy something right now don't just say well, we finance.  Say "I understand it may be hard for you to pay for this all right now, but if I could offer you financing would you be willing to purchase it today?"  This way it seems like you are interested in helping them find a solution not just pushing them by saying you finance.  In the end, you are there for the customer and to meet their needs.

  2. I always thought salesman were so full of themselves, liars, cheats, and say anything to get a sale.

    Still do.

  3. Quite often the problem is merely that the client is not convinced that he needs the product, that means that the sales person has not evaluated the clients needs carefully, and therefore the client is offering objections, if this is not the case ask what the objection is, and offer a solution remember it is the not called an The Art of selling for no reason.

If it is merely price related then you need to think OK well do we offer finance options as the last resort, all sales transactions are about satisfying a needs, once you have analyzed the Need then offer the solutions and ensure the client understands the benefits of the solution and then add value to the benefits, because if you cant add value to the benefits. Be sure there will be objections.

Good Luck sales is not the what most people perceive it to be, to be the best !!!   You need to learn, understand and observe but most of all you need to listen more than you talk, and evaluate everything a client says if you do not do this you will loose the sale to some one actually trying o resolve a problem that is what sales people do.
