  1. The scientists are from the Northern Hemisphere. If Aussies got to decide, it would be the other way round....

  2. Hello, Anne Aussie here, I've decided you should all know the truth.

They (the space boffins) post the same question on Polls and Surveys periodically then go with the thumbs up (North) or down (South) pretty technical stuff - they learn that at college doncha know?

Right now on here it's looking good for North....so North it is.

  3. Not really sure on this one,E.  But you you gotta have respect for the SOB that kicked Uranus completely on it's side!  Sorry for the digression, it's the steroids...

  4. Direction is relative to the observer. We use our position (Earths) in space as our point of reference. We do revolve and rotate but always in the same "place" relative to Saturns moons.

Everything we "think" we "know" is "relative" to our "relationship" to everything else and our perception of that.

"Direction/space", like time is what it is ONLY because we "think" it is;) Powerful creatures are WE:) We "create" reality evry day just by "looking".

It is wise, however, to remember that "reality" is NOT always the way it looks. There was a time, not long ago, when it "looked" like the sun revolved around us and THAT was our "reality". That's where understanding of ourselves and our limitations is handy. We need to control EGO instead of the other way around . IMO :)

An "interesting" (?) article. Haven't read it yet.

  5. 4 out of 5 scientists agree that the North Poles of Saturn's moons are clearly marked by Santa Claus' vacation homes.

  6. In any rotating body, you can see its rotation and find a pole. If you are above a pole and it is spinning counterclockwise in relation to you, that is the north pole. If it spins clockwise it is the south pole.

  7. "Hi!"

Whats North for us is North for saturn, Whats south for us is South for saturn.

Hey TD, If I stood you on your head, your perception would be the same as mine LOL : )

Elaine check out the link on the boys profile, he has even better poems in there. He is incredible poet for a 16 year old boy.

P.S: I have left you an e-mail Elaine, TD  and Neoman.

    Cheers : )

  8. the planets & their moons all lie in a flat disc around the sun.  which ever pole of the axis it rotates around, that points towards the north side of the disc (the top, think like heads & tails of a coin), would be the northern one.
