  1. I THINK ITS BECAUSE THE USE OF MATERIALS... SOME MATERIALS WERE ONLY AROUND IN CAVEMEN TIME LIKE ROCK WHICH IS ALSO IN THE PRESENT. THEY DIDN'T HAVE PAINTBRUSHES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. THOSE ITEMS ARE TOO MODERN.

  2. I always amazed at how well they were drawn, but I guess I would be better at if that was the only thing I did in my free time

  3. Well, they probably aren't 100% sure. But they can be pretty close. Not only does man possess an opposable thumb to hold and control writing and drawing implements more successfully than other creatures, man also has evolved more cognitive learning skills and desires to replicate what he sees.

Other animals have been shown to do this, but man does it more than any other. And judging by the location and nature and age of the paintings, early man seems the most likely candidate.

You could go with aliens. But I would think they could draw better.

  4. Using carbon-dating or similar dating techniques on the 'paint'. Although some can't be dated since they aren't made with organic substances. Than it will somewhat of a guess.

This all stands as long as you weren't suggesting that aliens could have painted them.
