How do sea officials (cpt. officers etc.) greet each other?

I'm in Titanic and don't quite understand how to greet my fellow mates aboard the ship.

Usually with a grunt and moan if before the first gallon of coffee in the morning.   Or just state their title; Mornin' Cap.     I tried G'day, Mate once, but he was still asleep and didn't bother with a reply.

Ummm, Titanic...... how about, "Good Day, Captain!"

superiors are greeted with sir or rank ( good morning sir or good morning commander.  lesser ranked officers are addressed by rank or Mr. surname (like picard done in star trek tng.)
