  2. The females produce the eggs and pass them onto the male, the male holds the eggs in a pouch thats located on his stomach. Their tails get together and the a tube from the female aligns to the males pouch and strings of eggs (very sticky) go into the pouch. It can take two to six weeks for the eggs to develop. And then after a few hours the male has the baby seahorses.

    Hope this helps.

  3. There are a lot of unusual and interesting facts about seahorses but here is the short answer to your question.  If you desire more in depth information about the seahorse, there are a couple of links below that will give you a good start.

While linked in the mating embrace (during which the seahorses utter musical sounds) the female forces the eggs into a pouch on the underside of the male, where they are fertilized and where they remain, feeding on nutrients provided by the vascular lining of the pouch, until they are expelled as miniature versions of the adult.

  4. Seahorses don't exactly 'have s*x' in the way we as mammals do. The female lays her eggs in a brood pouch on the male's belly - this is accomplished by the two seahorses facing each other, the female slightly higher than the male so that her cloaca is positioned directly over the entrance to his pouch (the entrance is on top of the pouch). The male fertilizes the eggs inside the pouch, and keeps them there until they hatch. The tiny babies are then expelled in a series of contractions of the pouch. There is no further parental care after this - the baby seahorses are on their own.

  5. The female lays the eggs in the males belly, where he fertilizes them and then gives birth when the babies are ready
