How do sesame seeds stick to buns?

i just wanted to know because a friend of mine said it was the small surface area against large surface area and i didn't think that could just be it.

  1. its the moisture on the surface of the buns. alot of the time before baking the buns they are brushed with either milk or egg wash and this helps the sesame seeds stick as well.


  2. Well, you can wet the bun with whatever you want then roll it in the sesame seeds:)
