How do setup java on blackberry?

I just downloaded and installed ebuddy messenger for my blackberry curve 8320. I do not have an internet data plan, but my phone is wifi equipped, and that allows me to browse the web. When I go to ebuddy messenger on my phone, it says that I have to set up my java settings. How do I do this? I dont want to use m.ebuddy.com I want to use the beta verison.
