  1. personal shoot the cue ball by first taking shot of patron. then i go through stare down at the rack and imagine it bursting about and balls going everywhere. i then posistion the cue ball either slightly to the right side or straight on depends on the feeling i have at the moment. i then ajust my grip to the very rear of the cue and get into my stance. puting the cue on my bridge as i do iti then lock the image in my mind of solid contact and take a few strokes to get a good feel and make sure everything smooth before puting the power to it and going for it all.

thats just for the break. for most other shots the patron is optional and imagine shot i selected going into selected pocket and geting the leave i want

  2. It isn't easily described how to hold the cue, how to get a decent break, etc. so you could go hang out at a local bar with a table and watch how other people play; some friendly people may even give you some pointers if you ask.

  3. There are a number of websites to on how to shoot pool. Here are two of my favorites:

    www.straightshotpool.com

    www.easypooltutor.com

When starting out, the most important thing is to have a proper stroke. Once you get this down, the rest of your game will fall into place!
