  1. I think they hide under leaves. Because of the heat the leaves become damp so then its cooler under the leaves

  2. I fink its bcoz reptiles have a moist skin and they breathe through their skin.

    Hope i helped ya :-)

  3. They dig burrows under rocks and dirt and hide in crevices during the day.  They come out in the morning and evening hours when it's cooler to hunt.

  4. Oh just THANK YOU for this question!  I needed a break from the 4 million character answers, and trying to help sick animals!

Desert snakes emerge at night, to hunt for prey.  Night time in the desert can be quite cool.  It's the reverse of what you would think... at night, the snake must move and find the warm spots, to avoid cooling too much as it ranges in search of prey or a mate.

If it happens upon a depression containing water, it will drink deeply.  Other than that; it obtains most of its moisture from the prey it takes.

I hope this has been helpful.

  5. Snakes stay in dark caves and under cold rocks. Also, snakes are cold blooded, which helps them out decently but they like/need belly heat. That's why when people own snakes they put heating pads under their cage and put a rock den in for them.

  6. They find rocks to go under and cool off abit, or find sme leaves on the ground and go underneith those.

Some may climb up trees and onto branches
