I've been doing some research and a lot of the websites I've found are very vague on how solar robots work.

Can someone thoroughly explain, in layman's terms, how it works?

Thanks.

  1. Solar robots is only a term. What happens is that this kind of robots utilize electrovoltaic cells (solar panels) and batteries to generate and store electricity. This electrical  energy  is then used to power up control circuits, sensors, or to activate motors based on the application. I hope this helps.

  2. At a guess, I'd say just like any other robot except that their energy comes from light, perhaps with an onboard battery to store any excess energy for later use when it's too dim to operate only on light.

  3. Solar robots work by means of using solar energy (sun's energy) as their energy/electricity/source.
