How do some people make a living selling dvds or vhs online, when there are already eBay, amazon, and others?

I sell CDs exclusively online.  I sell nearly 2000 each week and my only means of sales come from eBay and Amazon.  I know I could expand with my own website and know some that are successful doing that, but I see no need to.  EBay and Amazon already has all the traffic I need.  In the future I will might need to expand to my own website, but right now I don't see the need.

They get a website (as well as Ebay, amazon, etc). Reason being becuase when you toss your clients into places like Ebay you are tossing them into a mall of sorts, giving them many options or other locations for the client to purchase from other people.. They build a site around what they have to offer in order to the keep the clients they have returning. I have a friend that does this and is doing very well, every now and then he will place some on Ebay however most of the sales come from his own site..

You can try the following hosts if you are looking at doing something like this.

Tahoe Web Service http://www.tahoewebservice.com I have used these guys in the past.. They offer hosting that comes with a shopping cart that will hold 2500 items. They do not charge you extra for this service

GoDaddy http://www.godaddy.com They offer a few levels of carts, however you have to pay for hosting and add on the cart service.
