  1. The only thing you need to be able to walk on the moon is a source of air. You could do it with a aqualung-type device, but if your skin was exposed to vacuum it might be damaged - a skin-tight cyclist's costume would probably be enough to prevent any problems like that.

  2. Space suits replicate an atmosphere like that of Earth's!

  3. spacesuits were not a function of walking, they were used for the function of breathing, not being burnt by the sun's unfettered radiation, etc... i think some sunblock 999SPF and oxygen tank are all you'd need to walk on the moon.

  4. A man can't survive on the moon without a full environment suit.  They allow the astronaut within to breath, expel and absorb oxygen, and are equipped with water supplies for drinking.  They have a backpack which oxygen is stored and supplied to the astronaut, and some have "scrubbers" on them, which cleanse carbon dioxide the astronaut expels.

  5. They had articulations that allowed limb movement.

The had a water circulation system that maintained temperature at a bearable level.

They were airtight and had an oxygen supply.

  6. they were engineered like that....
