  1. People who drive too fast tend to go too fast over speed bumps too, their cars break, taking them off the road. That makes the roads safer for everyone else.

Seriously, they slow cars down. That makes it more likely that a pedestrian can get out of the way of a driver who's not looking.

  2. they do slow traffic. they also slow the emergency response vehicle from getting to your houser faster in the case of any kind of emergency. it all depends, like most things, just how you want to look at it.

  3. I look real cool doing wheel stands over them on my TT..."road safety" is that what they're for?

  4. they do and they dont....

for those that slow down, they just served their purpose and you just wore down the brakes a little and wasted some gas in the process of driving slow.

for those that dont, it increases wear and tear on their car and forces them to go buy new struts/shocks/tires/rims/get a alignment ect ect.

either way, somebody wins. just not us.

  5. cause it slows people down in parking lots and stuff like that

  6. Yes and No...........most people do slow down but at the same time you still have alot that dont slow down at all.

  7. They force people to slow their speed.  I would assume if you go over a speed bump, especially the skinny ones, you are risking damage to the car. But people should just slow down when coming to a speed bump anyway.  It's obviously there for a reason.

  8. they obviosly make ppl slow down but,,then you have to listen to cars with trailers and trucks rolloing over them and making heaps of noise.........exuse spelling
