How do spiders behave?

We have had a little spider by our kitchen window for the past 3 weeks or more. I have noticed in the past 1 week that it leaves its little "house" before 6am and comes back around 8.05pm and never before 8. Can someone tell me where it goes and how does it know its way back?

I feel like putting a little cam to watch it. Can someone help me with the mysteries of spiders. I am fascinated when I see it in the evening I feel like one of ma kids is back home. Me and my daughter always wait for it.

  1. He is your family member , get his name entered in the ration card

  2. Sounds like a jumping spider.  It may have a preferred place for food as well as a spot when dark.  Continue to observe him.  I suspect his time schedule will change as we have shorter days.  I have a jumping spider on my window sill every year.  He catches insects that find their way into my house.  You could also try to feed him by placing a not too vigorous insect on the window sill.
