How do spiders navigate their way home?

Question

I have watched a spider on my window for 2 weeks, and it leaves as early as 5pm and goes all day and gets back precisely and I means exactly at 8pm. How does it do this and how can it tell time and know its way back home. I am trying to watch it and it seems to be getting big and kinda pregnant.

What is the life span of jumping spiders?
