  1. This is a valid question, because at some foreign universities, the hall of residence provides full laundry services. At others, it's, erm... "self-catering" Some unis, if they don't launder your personal clothing, will launder your sheets (which they provided to  you when you moved in).

In the US, at university, you do your own laundry (and you provide your own bedding). Often, the residence hall, if you live in the dorms, provides coin-operated washing machines and dryers right in the building, which students use. They sometimes have machines where you can buy laundry soap, but more often, you need to buy your own at a local store.

Most university towns also have public laundrettes where you can bring your clothing, and either wash it yourself in the coin-operated machines, or else pay to have the staff wash it for you. If you paid, you'd drop your laundry off, and pick it up, usually the next day.

I used to set aside time each week to do my laundry. I'd try to do it during an odd hour, when the machines weren't commonly in use. If I went to the laundrette, I'd bring homework I'd do while the laundry was washing. If I did it in the dorms, I'd go back to my room while my laundry was washing.

  2. Why would u need wash done(if u mean clothes) while u r a student in a college? One goes to college for education purposes, don't u? No washing facilities r supposed to be available in colleges I believe. U better ask a fallow classmate of yours in this respect.

  3. Heh, kind of an odd question, but most towns have laundry mats, which is basically a business that offer washers and dryers for use. They usually cost a few quarters a load.

If you are going to live in dorms, they often have them there on campus, which may cost money or be free for student use.
