How do take video clips from a movie to make a video

i really want to make a video with a song but i dont know how to get the clips from the movie and put it together....

i know how to do it with pictures but not with clips lol im using windows movie maker

can someone help me???

well that program sucks for doing that but there is a way download hypercan and then u can separate vid clips to make then or u could get abobe premiere with ya is exspensive but u could just download ir on mininova.org
