How do taxi drivers get paid?... By a percent of what they make each night? & What is the percentage?

the passanger hands you money

When I drove a cab many years ago, drivers were paid 45% commission. Of course the tips were additional. I'm not sure if that's still the going rate, but it's probably close.

This only applies to drivers who work for the cab company and don't own or lease the vehicles.

i think the only money they get is from the passengers because it is their own business
