How do teachers occupy themselves during the Summer?

I'm just finished my first year teaching and with summer approaching I am looking for ideas on how to occupy myself

My mom is a teacher, When my brothers and sister were younger she used to take us on vacations, the pool, lake, camping, ect. we stayed busy. When/if there was down time she would clean obviously or go to the gym.. its really just a time to relax. go to the pool redecorate your house.

Simply do what you love to do!  My husband is a teacher and he golfs, we go to the beach, have meals in our garden...you could even get a job tutoring at a learning center or camp. Do you have projects around your home that need finishing?  It's all a matter of what you are into!  Have fun and congrats on your first year!

Look for a part time job teaching summer school.  I don`t know your interest of activities you enjoy doing.  Please have a nice summer.

Personal interests and spending time with family and friends. Also preparation for the coming year.

Some teachers have to work summer jobs.  Others take the summer off and spend it with their kids.  Some take the time to enjoy their hobbies, get stuff done around the house, and travel.

This summer I'm going on a vacation to Mexico, teaching a 5 week summer school, and then having a few weeks off.  During those weeks off, I will relax at home!
