  1. this sounds to me like centralized change within certain forms of conglomerated ratios...i guess the fact that each category is subject to progress or destabilization gives their own inner meaning to the question...social change is inevitable no matter the root or outcome...the better question is what types of effects these will have  on society and culture...

technology, demographic processes, ideologies factors, and outstanding individuals can bend to one extreme or another...they can help and hurt...its how society embraces each way shape or form.  its our own judgment and instinct from the influences that establishes effective or digressed alteration.

(edit)its also considered how those specified forms of social groups most active in the transition, branch out and affect the mass population.  our instabilities and beliefs give us caution...its our filter

  2. Is this a major project, for the question is complex.  Changes in demographics mean changes in the distribution of types of people in the society (s*x, race, eduction, age and so on).  So this on a large scale would be social change.  Technological changes can influence demographic patterns in terms of where people need to work and how they get there, and what they do when they work, for example.  Ideological factors would be important in social change, in terms of which groups justify their goals and action with different belief structures ( n***s, conservatives, marxists)   So adoption of an ideology by the group in power could be used to support their efforts to change the economy or religious, or cultural structures.  Outstanding individuals of course, given the right circumstance can lead a country or organization to some extent, in ways that those groups see as being to their advantage.  An outstanding person could bring about change by gaining support of those with political or military power, and even gain authority or power themselves.  so all elements you mention interact in a dynamic way in societies.
