So i'm using my home phone when I'm not supposed to and I am just wondering...will the numbers I dial out show up on the phone bill when it comes or what exactly goes on? I don't want my mom to know i've been using the phone and i dont want her to see the number, you know what im saying? I don't want a lecture on right/wrong, just answer about the phone bill thanks.

  1. As long as the numbers you dial are local (not long distance) they will not show up on the bill.

EDIT:  Don't try to sneak around on your mom.  She only wants what is best for you and keep you safe.  Trust me, moms always find out.

  2. Long distance call will show up on your phone bill.

Generally speaking, if the number is 10 or 11 digits long, it is probably long distance.  However, now days some cities now require the area code when calling even local numbers - so this would be 10 digit dialing and still a local call.

But if the number is 11 digits and begins with 1, it is for sure long distance (at least in USA/Canada).  So, 1-x*x-x*x-xxxx is long distance for sure (in North America).  But, x*x-x*x-xxxx may or may not be long distance depending where you live (best call your local phone company for a definitive answer on that one).

  3. Let me see...You are an underage girl, phoning an older pervert you met on line. He will ruin your life.  I hope you get caught for your own good.

  4. If it is long distance the number will show up, and of course the price of the call will stand out, that is how mine works however these days there are so many different types of  phone plans...that may be that the phone regardless of where you call shows up on the bill.  Good Luck, maybe if you explain to your mother that you need to be able to communicate with your friends and introduce her to those that you talk with maybe she can grant you some freedom
