How do televisions pick up radio signals for different stations?

Best answer given. If you would want a better chance of getting best answer put more info into the answer but make sure it make sense. Also you can give me a link to a picture where it shows the inside of a television and how it works. Thanks!

  1. Different stations transmit their signal on different frequencies, by tuning to particular frequency, you in fact choosing different station. (TV Channel) As far as the photo of the inside of the TV set, you need to specify what type of TV interests you the most. You have anything from classic Cathode Ray Tube to flat screen LCD. The circuitry will look familiar on all types of TV’s Mostly printed circuit board with many resistors, IC’s and capacitors. The only different will be the picture projection device. CRT is a vacuum tube with the long neck and Fly-back coil on it, LCD flat panel looks like thicker piece of glass and projection type TV’s are constructed with the front flat glass on which picture is projected by different kind of devices, like LCD or DLP. Go to Google images and type: inside TV set. You will get hundreds of images showing exactly what you need.
