  1. tell her that you really want to do it but only with her or/and dad there. so if anything is wrong a parent is there to back you up and bring a cell phone (duh)

  2. The internet CAN be a very dangerous place. Though not ever person who uses the world wide web is a creeper, there is always a chance that someone you meet, especially for this kind of thing, will be.

You could always have her accompany you if she's worried, but either way, make sure you discuss every detail with her to ensure every ones well-being.

  3. You should go to a real agency. If they think you have some potential they won't make you pay to do head shots.

  4. Don't go.

    You never know about people.

Then, tell your mom what lengths you went to

to try to do this.  Maybe the two of you could

work together to accomplish this goal.

    Good Luck to You!

    Do Not Go.

  5. You need to tell her.  Fact is, it is not legal for you to do this without her knowledge or permission and the photographer knows this as well.  Best advice is NOT TO DO THIS.  And yes, your mother has a reason to believe in what she does as there are people like that looking to take advantage of someone like you.

  6. Try a local college student instead. A lot of aspiring photographers need experience and will charge far less. You can't be sure someone you found online is remotely legitimate.

  7. I am presently studying to be a photography. I have not started my classes yet but I know for a fact any reputable photography knows he cannot use your photos without parental written permission he or she should not take one solitary picture of you without your parents permission it is illegal. Whoever this person is they are tiring to pull something on you it is a hoax stay away.

Since I am studying to be a photography I would shoot you for free for copyright of the pictures I would give you copy's but I would not shoot you without your parents permission and  one of them would have to be present you are a minor.

Let's say this person tells you they can make you a model without your parents permission let's say it is true and your parents flip through a magazine and see your picture or you are on the front cover do you know your parents could sue the c**p out of them because they did not have their permission to do that. No photographer or magazine editor is going to let that happen.

Watch yourself their are predators in this world that will promise you anything to get you alone with them. Be careful listen to what everyone on here is telling you we are not lying to you we have no reason to lie to you this person does.

  8. Not of all them, that's for sure, but some of them ARE!

Most fully grown women (including myself) will still take precautions before meeting someone we came across on the internet. You would be totally insane NOT to do so, too.

Here is what you need to do:

    1) Bring a parent or at least a couple of friends! Do NOT go alone, under any circumstances.

    2) Tell someone else (a third person) where you are going, when, and arrange to call them when you're done.

    3) Do not meet at his house, make sure to meet in public in a busy place like a park.

Once you tell your mother about all the very mature and sensible precautions you are taking, she might be ok with the idea.

Best of all would be to have him come to your house, and meet your mother. Chances are you  need to meet close to your own home, anyway, so he might as well come over and pick you (and your friend) up.

  9. DON'T GO. DIDN'T YOU HEAR ABOUT THE GUY WHO DID THIS TO A GIRL ONLY SHE WAS 16 AND SHE ENDED UP GOING WITH HER MOM AND THEY WERE BOTH ABDUCTED AND RAPED, AND MURDERED DON'T GOO!!

  10. well, for all you know this person is a molester too.

what about your dad? is he around?

If he is, have the person meet you AND your dad.

  11. the internet is a dangerous place never ever give anyone your real name or address and never meet someone off the internet. They can lie to you so easily. Us mothers arent old fashion we are just concered for our children. I have a 12 yr old that is becoming a model, you can call a good modeling agency sometimes they will pay for the headshots. And you could always get a job at Mcdonalds they hire 14 yr olds.

  12. You don't book one!

You have your mom book it, and she goes with you! And only after she does research about this photographer you met on the internet.

When (IF) you go to this photo shoot, your mom doesn't leave you alone for a second! You both bring your own food and water, and touch nothing that is offered to you.

Check this photographer out, via the internet, check public court records, modelmayhem.com, onmodelplace.com, modelrun.com. You talk to other models this photographer has worked with. You ask and ask and ask!

    SAFETY FIRST!

  13. That's a bad idea. I understand that you want your photos done, but save up some money and go to a local professional. You should NOT trust people you meet over the Internet. Period. Everyone on the Internet isn't a predator, but the truth is, many are. Please be safe, be smart, and be sensible. How many stories have we heard about bad things happening to kids because of people they met over the Internet? Don't go, don't sneak and go, just talk to your mom about what you want.
