  1. There is no such thing as a male peach seed or a male peach tree.  Each of the flowers on the peach tree have male and female parts.  Some plants do have male and female flowers on the same plant, like squash.  But the seeds are neither male, nor female.  There are a few plants that are either male or female, like hollies.   Your best best if you ever want to grow a peach is to plant a tree.

  2. Interesting question. Although some trees do produce male and female individuals, this is not true of peach trees. The problem is that peaches are not going to grow true from a seed. Fruit trees are hybrids, meaning one parent had certain positive characteristics (like sweet fruit) and the other parent had other positive characteristics (like strong branches). If you try to grow a peach tree from a seed you most likely won't get what you are looking for.

New fruit trees are usually produced by grafting--that is cutting a new shoot off an established tree and sticking it onto some already growing roots of another tree. You can learn grafting, but it would take several years to produce a new tree that way. You might want to just buckle down and order a seedling from a nursery. You can get bare-root seedlings inexpensively from online nurseries.

  3. Ask to the people at the store when you buy them.

  4. Well you really cant tell. Most of the fruit trees you would commonly grow have "perfect" flowers, both male and female parts, but do best with cross pollination between 2 trees. Unless you are going to grow papaya or certain types of persimmons, don't worry about it. Do a little research on each type of tree you want to grow before starting them.

  5. For a peach tree, there is only one seed.  The flowers on the tree produce perfect flowers -- meaning that they have both male and female parts.  However, the flowers on a peach tree are incompatible with each other.  In other words, this means that they are not able to self-pollinate.  You need to have at least two peach trees -- the pollen from tree A pollinates the flowers on tree B and visa versa, but A pollen will not fertilize the flowers on tree A or B on B.  It is a genetic incompatibility issue based on signal transductors associated with the X and Y chromosomes.

As for tomatoes, again they have perfect flowers and are capable of self pollinating.  You can have only one tomato plant and there will be tomatoes.

Squash are the same as tomatoes.

One thing -- if you plan to save your seeds and you are working with hybrids, your seed may not come back true.  The cross or self pollination to make your seed likely will not be the same as the one used to make the original plant.  While you may not get the exact same thing back, it is usually pretty similar and nothing to be worried about.
