Question:

How do the Canucks get Rick Nash into their lineup?

He's gotta be one of the (if not THE) best forward in the world today. Heatley's got slightly better numbers at the World's but Nash has been spectacular (as always).

Mr Gillis, could you please pull out all the stops (short of trading Luongo).

  1. THANK YOU... another canucks fan...i hope that the Canucks get Rick Nash..probably won't but there is a chance they will get Malkin.

  2. I think Nash "might" creep into the Top 10 in the world... and I stress "might", as I don't think anyone has him above Malkin, Crosby, Thrornton, Ovechkin, Lecavalier, Iginla, Zetterberg, and Kovalchuk. He's more in the league with Datsyuk, Alfredsson, Getzlaf, Spezza, Gaborik, and Hossa, etc. And that's no slight on Nash.

I don't see the Canucks landing him unless they're willing to give up the Sedin twins and then some. He's signed in Columbus for 2 more seasons and he's their marquee player... best guess is that Columbus looks to give him an extension some time next year. I wouldn't hold my breath about him going anywhere.

  3. IM A WILD FAN BUT SINCE THEY LOST IM A REDWING FAN SO GO REDWINGS

    REDWINGS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  4. seriously if columbus has any hopes of a future, then they'll keep this guy/do everything they can to keep him there.

cause if not he can become a leafs :P

highlight reel nasher goal today! hahaha he actually made the reel and they had flashback from last years gwg against finland. he's an amazing player.

lol. which sedin would vanucks trade, henrik?

  5. They make a huge trade dealing the Sedins and a 1st and 2rder

  6. Simple answer: they don't.  As bad as Columbus' management is, not even they are dumb enough to trade their franchise player.  Set your sights on Nik Zherdev, who is nearly as talented, but is not liked by Hitchcock.  I could see the Jackets being dumb enough to trade him and see him flourish.

  7. why in the world would columbus trade Nash? And further more there are alot better places for him to go to win a cup, bet Louongo wishes he`d have gone somewhere else. vanc had a small window to be a REAL  threat to win the cup but that windows closed and wont be opened again for along time.

  8. Trade for him or wait until he becomes a UFA.  As far as trades go it would probably take at least one of the Sundin twins plus some prospects depending on which Sundin and which prospects.  I wouldn't get your hopes too high though because i really don't see the Blue Jackets trading virtually their only player.
