How do the Dowloads work for the sims life stories?

I went to the website, and downloaded the things, but they weren't in the game! Maybey I was just looking in the wrong place though. Please help!

I haven't been able to install skins like clothes and genetics, but have been able to install the Sims 2 downloads objects, such as furniture and of that sort, into in the Life Stories. After you have downloaded your items, you look for your Sims Life Stories folder, look for the "TSData" folder, open it then open the "Res" folder, then on the "Objects" folder you can drag your downloads there after they have been extracted. Hope this could help.
