  1. Always keep in mind that generally Bose is $200-$300 overpriced AT LEAST!!  Do yourself a favor and listen in a store you WILL find that quality speakers from a number of different brands sound as good or better than bose and for less money. DONT LISTEN TO SALES PEOPLE!! Listen to the speakers!!!

  2. I will not buy a Bose product.  That being said the nanosat sound decent but I have become very partial to my Klipsch F-3 system.  If you are looking for smaller speakers checkout a Klipsch Quintent III speaker system for $500 and a Klipsch SUB 10 for $400 and save $400.

  3. Anything is better than Bose.   You can get $99 KLH surround sound 5.1 systems that sound better.

Crack open a bose cube and you find paper cones with no tweeters, plus unshielded magnets and amazingly, no crossover system!

  4. I have not heard the NANOSAT from Mirage, but I have heard the Bose cubes. I wouldn't even classify the Bose cubes or their wave radio for that matter, as being "Hi-Fi". Mid-Fi at best. Thin, flat vocals and not a bit of fullness to the midrange. Any sense of airiness and life are gone from vocals, strings, flutes you name it. Mirage is a true high-end company and makes audiophile quality products. Pair the NANOSATs with a good subwoofer and I think they'll be a pleasant surprise. They are actually 2-way units with a mid/woofer and separate tweeter unlike the Bose cubes which use a single driver, and not too impressive a one at that! After hearing how good my brother's Bose 901 large bookshelf speakers sound, I was floored by how thin and dull the Bose cubes were. I'd give the Mirage units a try!

  5. I don't think much of Bose ... overpriced and mediocre overall performance (particularly the midrange). See the link.

That said, I have not heard the Nanosats ... just read good things about them. As will all small speakers they have limitations and are not the best choice for all applications ... but reviews are generally very positive on a performance/price basis.

I suggest reading the three reviews/opinions and evaluate the pros/cons against your needs.

For what it's worth, given the choice between the Mirage and Bose .. I'd buy the Mirage any day.

    Cheers.

  6. This is what I can say.

I have never heard anything bad about the Mirage speakers.ANY OF THEM for that matter and the Nanos get nothing but GOOD reviews.

I almost hear nothing BUT BAD about Bose.

    Get the Nanos
