  1. Atlantic waters are very clear (San Blas, Bocas del Toro, Colon).  Pacific Ocean has low tides and high tides, which could have up to 6 ft difference.  It creates nice/rough waves even for surfers (Catalina, El Palmar, etc).

  2. pacific is way better and clean with white sand like walking in carpet go to playa blanca or white beach ,farallon ,hotel resort royal decamerum u will sorprise what see there! ,in my opinion atlantic are so many rocks and reefs to ready cut your *** and feets there ! and arent to many acess to those areas most of the time you have travel so much time between jungle and mountains pacific a re more access and easy !

  3. I am a long time surfer so I prefer the Pacific side. There are beautiful places on either coast though. Also, as you can see by the map, it's much easier to access the beaches on the Pacific coast.Hope this helps you....Viva Panama!

  4. Both sides have beautiful beaches, it depends on what you want to do.  If you want to snorkel or dive, the Caribbean is better, if you want to surf, the Pacific is better, if you want to hang out, both are good.

  5. Hi, Im Venezuelan but im currently living in Panama. The best I can tell you is that the beaches near Panama city are really horrible and contaminated. There are nices beaches at the other side of the country (caribbean side) specially at a place called bocas del toro.
