  1. The wavelength would be the distance between any two successive  waves, as in distance between the highest point of one wave to the highest of the next as they roll in . the amplitue would be the height of the wave, as in how high from normal level of the sea the water goes up, the crest is the peak of the wave (like near the place where "dudes" catch waves, not the inside part where they actually surf, but the top, or the hight of the wall that you see coming before you high tail it), the trough is the lowest point of the wave, as in the shallowest part.
