Question:

How do the leaders of a "bad group" usually act?

I am currently writing a story. The situation is like this: the "bad group" walks in on a group of the "nice group." The good group is part of an area that is being occupied by the "bad side," so they are helpless, and have to follow the orders that the "bad guys" give them. It's wartime, 'ya know? Like an occupation. So, a group of four "bad guys" does a routine check on the quarters of the "good guys" to make sure that they are not hiding any rebels. My main character, a girl, has caught the leader's eye (he is a womanizer). I'm just wondering how he would walk into the room when they start the routine check (remember that he hasn't seen the girl yet) and also how he would react when he sees her (how he walks, what he says). I'm having trouble deciding on what his personality should be like, and would like some advice. Thanks!

  1. This is from the movie Three Amigos. Watch it and get what you need...but beware of plagiarism

  2. It really depends on what characteristics you want to give your "bad leader".  That depends somewhat on the tone of your story.  If it is very dark and violent, then the leader may also have those general characteristics.  In any case, the leader would enter the room with an aura of authority because he knows he is in a position of power.  Many stories like this tend to portray the "bad leader" as having some redeeming quality, especially if you want the girl to respond positively (at some point) to him.  Sometimes you can think about people you have known and use attributes from one or more of them to make up your character.
