  2. First, plants can make their own food because they are autotrophs. The only things that they absolutely need for photosynthesis is light, water, and carbon dioxide.  

      Animals have to find their own food, whether they are herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore. Most times they have an enemy that they need to stay away from.  Animals do eat plants, but they need to find water and shelter.
