I am concerned with all compound leaves, but focus specifically on strawberry (Fragaria ) and its trifoliolate leaves. Is there always one leaf (thus 3 leaflets) per individual fruit? How does this in turn relate to the infloresences?

  1. In strawberry a higher leaf area per total strawberry yield increases the sugar content of the fruits up to a leaf/fruit ratio of about 15 cm2/g (http://www.actahort.org/books/761/761_14...

I don't know how many leaf pr individual fruit there is but there are more than one leaf (one trifoliate) in one crown where a flower cluster will emerge.
